Hey guys! My name is Abdullah Alqudah, the author of "Started From The Bottom Now We Here, A Quick Guide to Financial Literacy in less than 60 pages". I am the owner and financial literacy coach of Financial Wizdom. Some of my qualifications/previous jobs include a degree in finance, a mortgage loan originator, and a financial analyst for a publicly traded company. My father has a masters degree in teaching from John Hopkins University which taught me valuable lessons on teaching. I am very good at explaining "complicated" concepts to people in an easy to understand way. I am a very lax, easygoing person who doesn't believe in stupid questions, so don't feel shy coming in. We all have to start somewhere!

WHY I STARTED FINANCIAL WIZDOM

Financial literacy is on the decline in our country and has been for many years. One of the biggest reasons for this decline is the access to good information. Most people get their financial wizdom/advice from their family members. But what if that individuals’ personal experiences leads them to give bad advice? For example, if I had a bad experience with credit cards and tell my kids not to get one, I am hurting their ability to buy a home (the number one wealth building asset in our country).

Bad advice is disproportionately given to POC which is one of the biggest reasons we pay more for the same products in comparison to other demographics. Bad advice doesn’t only hurt us at an individual level, but our community and generations to come. So, the question becomes, where can one who is overwhelmed/stressed and doesn’t know where to start, go to get affordable financial advice that can change their life in the 804?
